“CAMS theater was one of the main focuses of my middle school experience because it brought people together and it elevates skills like acting, singing, and dancing. The community is very strong and I wouldn’t have made the friends I did if I didn’t participate in theater.”

- Noelle Smith

“ I was a part of the CAMS theater program, Class of 2019. The CAMS theater program fostered and grew my love for theater and taught me theater and life skills that I still use today as a junior in college. I had the wonderful opportunity to learn from the program as a student, as well as an intern for music directing and assistant directing as a college student. I’m truly grateful for the opportunities and memories Kara Howard and this program gave me!”

"I joined CAMS musical theater shortly after switching to The Classical Academies from a previous school district. I had an amazing experience with the production team and began volunteering with the program my junior year of high school. It’s so inspiring for me to see these kids grow into themselves and grow as performers!"

- Maya Berg

“CAMS musical theater is truly some of the most cherished memories of my childhood. Whether you are somebody that loves theater or simply just wanting to find a good community, this is the place for you. I absolutely thrived in this environment, which is not always the case when striving to do high-level performing arts as well as receiving quality friendships and connections. I will forever be thankful for CAMS musical theater for giving me the spark and love for performing as well as impactful principles for life.”

"I came into TCA in my fourth-grade year. The number one thing I looked forward to most was the theater program. The theater department had sadly closed due to Covid, but my mom took me to watch a filmed version of the middle school's Lion King Jr. I was in awe due to how amazing it was, and I remember thinking, “I can’t wait to do that”! Going through the middle school theater program has truly changed my life. I have met so many different people that I consider some of my close friends. The creative team was also a major highlight of this program and I can never thank Mrs Howard enough for all the work she put into making our shows amazing!"

"CAMS Musical Theater has been the standing ovation moment in our middle school years. Two of our kids have already taken the stage, and our third is counting down the days until it’s her turn. We love theater in general, but this program is truly unique—it’s given our kids a safe and encouraging space to grow, learn, and navigate all the ups and downs of middle school. We watched our son transform from quiet and withdrawn into a confident, connected performer with a circle of new friends. The dedicated team of adults inspires students to be their best selves—not just on stage, but in everyday life. For our family, this program has been a total game changer! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"The Artistic Team, under the direction of Kara Howard, is phenomenal. During my son’s three years of participation, I knew he was in good hands. The team always acts with the utmost care and compassion and encourages students to put forth their best effort which fosters growth with the skillsets necessary to succeed. The performances never cease to amaze. The skills these young actors learn also translate to the classroom. They learn presentation skills, memorization skills, and build their confidence through the rehearsal process. Thank you for a wonderful three years!"
